Harbor Master and General Manager duties at Marina Papagayo are the domain of Captain Dan Eaffaldano, Vice President and Senior Consultant for Brandy Marine International, LLC.

As the previous Director of Marina Operations for the prestigious Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and the President of Operations for Brandy Marine in West Palm Beach, Captain Dan has staged promotions and productions of the Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix and Sarasota Billfish Tournaments. Costa Rica Customs Made Easy

Passage into Costa Rica by sea is relatively easy thanks to Marina Papagayo’s on-site customs and immigrations clearance. Boats can come into the country without having duties or taxes applied as long as they have a valid dockage agreement. Currently, crews are subject to standard tourist status and are permitted to stay three months, at which time they can exit the country for 72 hours and re-enter for another three months. Plans are underway to create a longer-term arrangement for crews working on vessels.
